Fishers residents will be pleasantly surprised by the new public art displayed on an unlikely canvas – a Jiffy Lube store. Jiffy Lube of Indiana’s ever-evolving Jiffy Lube Mural Project is back on schedule with the hopes of connecting the Fishers community through inspiring work created by local artists.
Local artist Carl Leck recently finished his latest mural, a 3D masterpiece that has been frequently described as “trippy." Leck’s work is featured on the company’s newest Fishers location near Hamilton Town Center. What started as a way to cover up graffiti at a local store five years ago, the award-winning initiative has since grown into a successful, ongoing partnership with the Arts Council of Indianapolis and a staple across central Indiana.
Jiffy Lube of Indiana operates 49 of the 63 stores throughout Indiana, including 29 in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. There are currently 15 completed murals around the Indianapolis area, with plans for even more murals in the future, including Artur Silva’s upcoming mural at 840 E 151st St. (Westfield) in October.
