TOWN OF BROWNSBURG HOSTS ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE FOR LOCAL FOOD PANTRY

rrrThe Town of Brownsburg is hosting its annual Let’s Give Food Drive to support a local food pantry so area families in need can keep meals on the table.

Residents are invited to drop off canned and boxed non-perishable items to the Brownsburg Parks Administrative Office, 402 E. Main Street, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, November 2 through 25. Masks are required to enter the building.

“We’re proud to help keep food on the shelves during the holiday months,” said Town Manager Jeffery A. Eder.

Donations will be delivered to the Messiah Lutheran Church Food Pantry, which serves more than 2,000 Hendricks County families.

"The Messiah Lutheran Church food pantry is so very thankful for the support we receive every year from the Town of Brownsburg and the caring folks of our town,” said Messiah Lutheran Church pantry volunteer Jon Jordan.

The 2019 food drive collected more than 5,000 items. The following items are suggested:

  • Cereal
  • Oatmeal
  • Peanut butter
  • Canned meat, chicken and tuna
  • Canned or dry soup
  • Canned fruit, vegetables and beans
  • Boxed and canned potatoes
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Rice
  • Pasta and pasta sauce
